Lyft banned me. They won't say why. I've been happily using Uber for several years. BUT, lyft is the gate keeper for Boston blue bikes. So if I want to rent a blue bike while visiting, I'm out of luck. #lyftstinks #BikesOfMastodon #bluebikes

What the heck is wrong with whoever got tasked with clearing these Blue Bikes stations? 😠

I called Blue Bikes a couple of times and they said they'd send someone out, but of course they didn't.

I hope they get fined, at least. Three different stations were like this.

They have very great sequence of trails readily accessible via #MedfordMA and #MaldenMA - #HickeyPark has a #BlueBikes station and is about a mile's walk from a trailhead, and #OakGrove isn't that far if you're on the #OrangeLine - Thanks for the reminder, its a good prompt to compile a post of #BostonHikes in a future #BostonWeekend thread :)

#Bluebikes users: do you actually use the #lyft app to unlock a bluebike? That’s what I was told to do but is there a special Lyft bluebike app? The regular one has no bike option that I can see.
#bluebikes customer support is so broken I can’t get an answer from 3 different people or chat bots I was shuffled among, nor from a follow up email they promised after giving up on the chat, but never sent.

I’d like to thank the #MBTA and #BlueBikes for helping me get my 10,000 steps in today, with honorable mention to the Transit App. In addition to the intentional 4 mile hike I did, I got to walk another 3 thanks to infrequent bus service and winter bike dock removals!

Looks like somebody has already ridden one of the new electric #Bluebikes on the ~18 mile trip to Salem.

I love that #BlueBikes has a 24hr pass for $10 w/ unlimited 2 hour rides. Amtrak charges $20 (each way) to bring a bike, so doing #bikeshare makes a lot more sense.

Meanwhile, #Citibike's 24hr pass is twice as expensive ($19) and only allows 30min rides. :(

I really don’t like being treated unfairly as a customer by #BlueBikes (doing business as #lyft). I’m gonna ask the City of Newton for my money back. It’s not about the money but the principle. They never considered the impact or did any community outreach before pulling the plug on my paid subscription.

Just realized I don’t have a #bluebikes commute option home #BU to #NewtonMA this evening with the Newton winter shutdown. My subscription just lost a lot of value to me. 😦
