Another first for me: never properly photographed eclipses, or Moon in general. This year I finally own a good tripod, so I could use it with my old trusty Sigma 100-300mm lens, and a newer and not loved (horribly small battery, and it's draining if you leave it in the camera) Canon r10 mirrorless. It seems to be a good camera otherwise. Still, it gives me 480mm equivalent, and I have an East-South facing open balcony :)

And what did you observe yesterday?
I can't credit the source, this image got sent to me without.

Yesterday's lunar eclipse was very special because it also took place during a phenomenon called a blood moon. I was very lucky – I was on the outskirts of Leszno, where visibility was very good.

Here in London normal lunar service is resumed. Thanks to the blood moon I have purged my shadow self with new consciousness perspectives highlighting areas to work through, very cathartic experience. #bloodmoon2025

✨"Phantom Moon" - I almost missed this eclipse as I couldn't decide where to go so I went back to one of my favorite locations near Big Cypress National Preserve. It's always thrilling looking up at the night sky during these celestial events knowing that I'm looking at the same sight that has sparked fear and wonder in mankind since the dawn of time. 🌑🌒✨🌴
