Hello fediverse, what are you suggestions to block all twitter/X connections from my computers ? I added fake IPs associated with the twitter domains to my `/etc/hosts` file on #linux Other propositions? What about other OSes (windows, osx, android)?

Fighting desinformation is an uphill battle if the crowd already has been conned. Its like fighting russia and you cant use the weapons where you need them.
Lets not be overzealous and block the hate mongers. That way governments and journalism will search for alternatives much faster.

Never been a #Twitter user, but now so fed up I updated my #firewall to completely block that unbearable shitshow from my networks.
Twitter uses ASN's 13414, 35995, 54888 and 63179 - just to make it easier for you to do the same.

I'm so done with Twitter that I blocked them at the host level.
I don't want any site that may use their button or share, embedded tweets, etc, to track me. It's not a 100% block as they can use different coding on the websites server side but it is a start.
There are a lot of domains they use but here is a snippet of my now long host file.
I did this with Facebook years ago when I dumped them for good.
