@Frances_Larina @TonyStark @GreenFire Jumpers. That said I’ve consistently seen a small % of these types since I first joined months ago. Kolectiva seems to have more than it’s fair share of them. When they follow me I make sure they know I won’t have that garbage in my TL. If their cool, I I’m fine, if they start the true believer BS I just block. #BlockEarlyBlockOften Not my job to help them spread it.

@design_law Totally agree. #BlockEarlyBlockOften arguing only speeds their message on its way to a wider audience. It’s not always easy to do but all of us can tell pretty quickly if we’re talking to someone who talking to might actually make a difference or if we’re just talking to hear ourselves.

Why snide and snark fail: "Your Incentives Are Not The Same As Media Companies'"

If you alienate 99 people and get one person to say “Wow! You have exactly the same flavor of hatred for people who plant petunias that I do, but you express it so much more cruelly, I bet you’re literally making them cry, it really made my day!” you will not become the 71st richest man in the world. You will just lose 99% of the potential people who could listen to you or care about you or be your friends.

And that block or mute will often be without comment, as I've learnt that comment ... rarely improves the situation.

All the more reason to be kind in responses, even when disagreeing.
