Um, #NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, can the #Blazers please have a re-do with the owner you have saddled us with? He has shown the city and fans no respect whatsoever and treat us with open contempt. And this besides the fact he could only buy the team on the backs of poor people he'd fleeced on their car loans. Either you are an idiot or stealth moving the team by making it toxic is the whole plan.

The mayor's ad hominem attacks against the opposition are only going to trigger the Streisand effect. I applaud the website for bringing attention to the issue. Taxpayers should not have to shoulder 100% of the costs while a billionaire owner refuses to pay a dime and threatens to relocate the team instead.

I'd go even further. I don't think we need to renovate the Moda Center at all. But kudos to the guys who created the site.

Honestly, at this point, just let the #Blazers go. The #Fire are easier to cheer for anyway and no one cares about the number of luxury boxes or how fancy the concessions areas are.

I'm a big fan but the only way I support throwing a bunch of money at the Rose Garden is if it was spent to build housing on the site. We need housing. If the private market won't build it, the state must.

Watching #Portland scramble because of some rumor The Oregonian ran with about the #Blazers leaving just has me scratching my head. Like, if it's *that* important to the local economy, it's time to eminent domain the team into public ownership. If not, then what's wrong with the arena and why can't their billionaire owner afford to fix it?

Oregon should be pushing hard to externalize the cost of private desires of billionaires back on them, not just rolling over for them.
