I have one for #BlackMetalMonday this week. It takes a lot for me to like black metal. But GRAVPISSER has something really special going on. Gravpisser is a one man black metal project from Canada, and he has a demo from December 2025 I hadn't heard (I'd heard a couple from 2024-- he put out 4 demos that year). The partisan pugilists of SEDMI SEKRETAR, an anti-fascist entity from Bosnia-Herzegovina, serve up quite abrasive and raw #BlackMetal that sometimes almost feels like Industrial Noise.

ULTHA are a #BlackMetal band from Cologne with an impeccable back catalogue. One can get their albums and other outputs pretty much blind - cuz they're that good. Their BM is also of the #Atmospheric variety, if you care about such distinctions.
I got their new full length, released as usual without any fanfare, a few days ago. It's a big album (70+ min.) with many layers to it, so I can't say much about it other than: it's great! It leans heavy towards #Goth / #PostPunk and has bits of #Ambient and #TripHop, among other things. Nice to have for your #BlackMetalMonday -

GRUTA are a very cool #CrustPunk band from Colombia, mixing their crusty, energetic goodness with nice melodic #BlackMetal and bits of traditional (even Maiden-like) Metal. The vocalist is also wonderfully unhinged. It's a treat! 😁 ->

Someone recently recommended Amenra to me. In return, just from their description, I recommended NONE.
Now that I'm listening to Amenra I think it's a match - both are super dark, depressing, full of pain you can actually hear.
