( #blackLightningCW ): season 4 in full swing and... There's some things I don't like. And part of it is how hard they're they're going at the family tension and individual fuckupery.

Still good though.

Tobias really grew more fun as a villain over the seasons.

( #blackLightningCW ): season ended very strangely. Like, several main characters just dead almost unceremoniously. Hell, Dr. Jace got offed in 1 minute. Not that she didn't have it coming but dang. All the ASA goons of note, bang, gone.

Four villains up for returning next season though. And there's gonna be a time skip of one year.

Weird.

Props to Wayne Brady though. He's got more range than I gave him credit for.

( #blackLightningCW ): I know the narrative issues it would present but there are times (now) that I wish Jefferson (or Kate! Or even Barry!) would be like "alright fuck it y'all want a fight? I'm gonna bring my new friend. Maybe you heard of her. Supergirl?"

Alas, no crossovers without extreme circumstance or it devalues the group that needed it.

The ASA apparently is much worse on earth 1. And Jen did something to the water to remove Meta gene powers from everyone so that REALLY pissed them off.

This included Jeff and Anissa's power btw so he couldn't fight back when Odell and the ASA showed up and executed him, for helping remaining Metas escape Freeland. On CHRISTMAS.

All this just as the antimatter storm started.

And now back to #blackLightningCW for wholesome family superhero fun- *holds earpiece* I'm being told Freeland is being occupied by the government due to the supposed meta threat of a bunch of kids.

( #blackLightningCW ): real action packed season that was. Jennifer's character growth was especially nice. I like her. She's got heart and the uncanny ability to tell people what they need to hear but all the tact of a grizzly bear doing it. :blobcat_blep:

( #blackLightningCW ): appreciate that season 2 has raised the meta stakes a bit. Dealing with newly awoken metas, as well as a group from 30 years ago who've been in suspended animation pods all that time.

And now one of the original experiments that birthed Black Lightning (a vaccination with bonus superpowers) also made this weird lady who can make and control this silver fluid (and anyone infected with it) who ended up taking over South Freeland back 30 years. Kind of a funky hive mind thing. Said community was one of those post-slavery backwoods things where the white people fell into (admittedly stereotypical) white trash meth problems while the black community there lived and thrived in the woods. Until the aforementioned meta took over the white part of the area.

( #blacklightningcw ): one of the few things I dislike about the show is how Anissa controls her powers..or rather the sound they use. She uses breath control to activate and relax her density modification ability, but they picked the worst takes of her gasping in air to indicate when used. It just grates on my ears. :blobcat_brokenheart:

( #arrowverse ): there's that #supergirlcw season done. Great resolution as usual.

Next up on the list appears to be... Oh sweet, Black Lightning! :blobcat_aww: I remember enjoying this. #blacklightningcw will be the tag I guess.
