When our country allowed for 'non-binary' on birth certificates I got mine changed, after some internal debate.
Now there is a more right-wing government talking about bathrooms and so on, and I wonder what might happen downstream - no going under the radar now.

As somebody with an unusual #name (which I changed by #deedPoll), I'll occasionally hear people ask loaded questions like "Yeah, but what's your REAL name? The one on your #birthCertificate?" 😡
Well #FuckTheHaters. As of today, my birth certificate's been retroactively updated to show my "real" name.

Und dazu nochmal so um die zwanzig Umschläge mit #Kleinbild Negativen aus den 1970er und 1980er Jahren... 🙄🤩
Heute Nacht konnte ich ohnehin nicht gut schlafen, also bin ich um kurz nach 04:30 Uhr aufgestanden und mich, bewaffnet mit frisch gekochtem Kaffee, Papierleim, Klebefilm, TippEx, Tinten und Lichtschutzspray bewaffnet, die ersten Papiere zum Umkopieren und digitalisieren vorzubereiten. Mit der hier abgebildeten Geburtsurkunde aus dem Jahr 1909 habe ich mal den Anfang gemacht. Und das ist noch eines der besser erhaltenen Dokumente...
Ich entdecke gerade eine weitere zeitfressende Leidenschaft, glaub ich. Aber: den alten Menschen und/oder ihren Verwandten, die mir diese ihre privatesten Schriftstücke und Bilder zugetragen haben, macht es Freude. Und sowas, genau sowas, freut mich dann wieder. Und zwar aus dem tiefsten Innern!

And as if that wasn't enough, another twenty envelopes of small-screen negatives from the 1970s and 1980s... 🙄Tonight I couldn't sleep well anyway, so I got up shortly after 04:30 and, armed with freshly made coffee, #paperglue, adhesive film, #TippEx, inks and uv #lightprotection spray, prepared the very first papers for copying and digitizing. I started with a 'Certificate of Birth' from 1909 as shown here. And that's one of the better preserved documents...
Btw: The old people or their relatives, who have herewith given me some of their most private documents and pictures, enjoy it. And something like that, exactly that, makes me happy. In my deepest inner being. 🤩

If he does win, it will be imperative for every #American to have proper documentation ready: fascist governments often put in serious hurdles for anyone who doesn't have their papers, and it could get very hard to get them after the election.
This is especially true if you are a member of a #marginalized group, especially when he is targeting like #queer, #hispanic, #muslim, #palestinian, or #jewish people.
