First time lounging about outside this year. Looks like 24C though grey with rain likely soon. A little hint of green to some of the shrubs, must be buds fattening up.

The #raven pair is certainly impacting the squirrel population. They seem to have a fresh carcass every time I see them.

Lots of bird song about. I know nothing about birds but will pull up #Merlin for a scan.

The #ravens were very screamy for about 20 minutes. Probably a raptor was too close.

I love hearing our biggest corvids but their screamy calls are a little too much for my misophonia sometimes.

Sigh. No activity at all in the nest for a few days now at least. Not sure what went wrong, but hope the robins have a better result with their next clutch. :(

(I only noticed signs of construction 2-3 days ago; good on her for efficiency!) so figure 14days incubation (will be watching to see her full time in the nest) and then another 14 days to fledging, so 4 weeks until I can think about removal. Hope they remain good neighbors. Sadly I don’t think I can get a pic with her in the nest without disturbing her. #birdReport

#birdReport A pair of robins has built a nest in our porch roof, unfortunately right above our mailbox. They aren’t aggressive about it yet, just vigilant. Gonna be a careful few weeks for us and the postal carrier.

Today was a good day for spotting bald eagles between Cleveland and Toledo. Besides the several soaring and perched ones we saw, there is an active nest with at least one eagle in it near milepost 90 on the north side of I80/90. #birdReport
