It’s bin night. My close neighbours have not played their cards yet. Not recycling night, it’s green waste and regular bins. If they don’t put their reg bin out, that will be the second week with no reg bin 🤯🤯 I will update. #binNight

Update on #binNight shenanigans: My closest neighbours did not have their regular bins out (3) but further up the street they DID have them out (couldn’t see in the dark 🤣) the regular bins got emptied with no dramas. I am unsure why my neighbours skipped 🤷🏻♀️

Some thing infuriatingly weird is happening in my neighbourhood. I am the only person with my regular rubbish bin out - it gets collected every week. It is also recycling week. So I have that out too. But everyone else on my street only have their recycling out. I looked on other streets and SAME. only recycling. I checked the council website and there are no notices. Am I going nuts? How am I going to get to sleep now??? #binNight

It’s a simple thing, but I was pretty chuffed when it lit up this morning.
(Li’l web app queries a microservice with collection schedules, highlights the right ones on bin night)
I still haven’t done the hardware version. I have three 10cm tall bins, will use a microcontroller to query the same microservice and turn colored LEDs in the lids on and off. Just need a rainy day…
