It took me 5 years to build my workflow engine the first time.

I've done it three times this weekend alone

All to sing a silly song

Life has a way

This is a demonstration of event sourced workflows composed from fences found in markdown files

Wanderland treats those fences as first class functions

FaaS in a weirdly homoiconic mess of prose, code and data

[it's a lovely mess, just wiggly and lovely]

We're remixing them as a BI engine to power conversations with your sales forecasts

[they have a lot to say, don't forget to open a hole and listen]

The stress test clearly needs to be a round of "Who Stole the Cookie?"

[have you honestly never noticed how many children's songs just teach computing]

If we can pinpoint the cookie thief, I'm sure we can select the correct forecasting algorithm

That source data is just a YAML file with some headers and some ```yaml fences in it

From that we get:

1. CLI access through oculus peek - return YAML, JSON whatever you need
2. API access through /api/oculus/peek - remote access over HTTP(S) to that little bit of YAML you stored in a markdown file once
3. CLI access through oculus exec - when you execute code you get data, when you execute data you get... data (why wouldn't you?)
4. API access through /api/oculus/fence/execute - because things don't stop being isomorphic just because you can't think of a good reason for them to be at the moment ;)

That's how we mock test data
That's how a small busness tracks its inventory
That's how an application team manages feature falgs

That's how middleware for your mind allows you to express yourself... anyway you can think of (and probably lots that you haven't)
