The first picture is for context - it's a table made of a metal frame with a rotting chipboard and formica top.We've seen solitary leafcutter bees going into the chipboard edge for a few weeks, and today I decided to try to photo them.
I'll never make a wildlife photographer - insufficient patience!
But you can just see a couple of the bees in the next two pictures.These leafcutter bees are important pollinators and it's fascinating to watch them carrying pieces of leaf into the burrows in the table edge.
