Is anyone else tired of the BBC’s insistence on calling radio programmes podcasts just because you’re listening using iPlayer radio? (Okay, BBC Sounds, if you really must). It isn’t as though they call television programmes ”vodcasts” whenever you watch them using an “on demand” service.

I think as long as you make clear it's not affiliated, that should be fine.
I follow a few hashtags for BBC radio shows (e.g. ISIHAC); a fan account for In Our Time might be something other fans would appreciate.
But if you're still worried about the ethics, maybe start with a hashtag (e.g. HASHInOurTimeRadio )

That’d be the longwave broadcast that our emergency training at work last year told us is *the* national emergency channel. And which unlike all the alternatives can actually be picked up by mariners way out at sea. And that I listen to whenever I have the car radio on.
Remember how when Russia invaded Ukraine the BBC increased its shortwave provision in that part of Europe because these “legacy” forms are more reliable and resilient in adverse conditions?
This is up there with making it so that telephones only work if the electricity grid is on. FFS.Say it with me: bastards.

Going through a box of bits, came across my old BBC Radio 4 Test Match Special radio, Long Wave only. Radio still works, but will not pick up any more cricket.
When the cricket was on Long Wave, you could watch the cricket live, whilst listening to the commentary, can't do that anymore with either DAB, or internet radio.
