It's around 6 deg C above average temperature here in SE Australia this week.

It was 14 deg C at the start of the #Bay2Bay half marathon, 21 deg C for me at the finish line.

A great event, highly recommended. #running

A long slow late autumn run, mostly in the dark these days, dodging potholes from the rain.

Finally, I am feeling okay, as opposed to rubbish, the day after after running these distances.

Three weeks to the #Bay2Bay running festival, and good to see so many runners out.

Saturday #running was a 2 hour fire trail run around Katandra, Mount Elliott and Rumbulara.

Some regrading since I last ran these routes, but still super steep in places, and mostly bellbirds and parrots for company.

One month to go to the #Bay2Bay running festival.

There's a back route for #running between Gosford and Woy Woy with a short fire trail connection to the Spike Milligan Bridge from Koolewong that I wanted to explore.

The trail was all steep (1 in 5 or steeper) and mostly washed out (probably after the Koolewong fire earlier this summer).

5 weeks to until the #Bay2Bay, which takes the flat route.

The runs are for longer now the days are slightly less hunid and there are #running events to train for. Just me and the brush turkeys on this predawn run to a trail head.

Lots of runners out and about here, training for the #Bay2Bay marathon in less than 3 months. I'm in for the half marathon.

Only two more long weekend runs until the #Bay2Bay half marathon.

This was a slow one, breaking in new runners (GT-2000 13 highly recommended).

I have three more weekend runs left until the #Bay2Bay half-marathon. 13k last weekend, 15k today, hoping for 17, 19, 21 to come.

Most un-Australian, that was a third run in a row where I had to stop as an intense rain shower passed through.

Four more #running weekends before the #Bay2Bay half marathon. 10% more each run and I'll just get there.

Yet again, I'm grateful to be able to run events such as the #Bay2Bay half marathon on the New South Wales Central Coast. Only 950 entrants allowed, the 'grim reaper' sweeps up the rear of the field, coastal path run with a stadium finish, and a free running top. Thank you Terrigal Trotters! #running

It's the annual great escape from Woy Woy (aka the #Bay2Bay half marathon).
