  1. I have a few weekends over the next couple of months set aside for raspberry pi and other tiny computer based projects.

I have a pi 0w that I scored for $3 with a coupon, and I want to put it to some weird purpose while spending as little additional money on it as possible.

I have #BASICENGINE parts I need to solder them together and start working my way through that hardware.

I have other bits and bobs that I want to try.

    Do you have suggestions?

  2. I'm sitting in a meeting at work, and I had an idea and I want to make sure I document it somewhere before I forget it (again).

I need to design a keyboard case and a luggable case for the #BASICENGINE

  3. I stopped by the post office on my way in to the office (which is to say, the local coffee shop) today.

While there, I found a board game *and* 20 #BasicEngine Circuit boards.

I think the boards are the last part I needed to actually start assembling. (I might still be short a a few capacitors. I don't remember if I got all of them.

Either way, i can get the hard stuff out of the way, and probably get a board or two fully functional for testing.

    And that's *exciting*!

  4. I'm having a hard time getting the RAM/Video chips ordered for the #BASICENGINE

One site doesn't have any in stock. The other says they have them in stock, and keeps rejecting my order.

  5. 3) I had a really great day today.

    4) I’m thinking about the #basicEngine again, and specifically about it’s potential as a networked device.

I can’t wait to get my hardware in, so that I can get one assembled and ready to use. That’s honestly going to be a terrifying adventure, as this will be the most complex thing I’ve soldered together.

Once I have, though, I’m going to try and write a gopher client and maybe a telnet client for BBSing.

That’s not going to be easy, because RAM.
