The 70s mystery movie show #Banacek is bizarre in the extreme. I like that the crimes are financial instead of murders. Financial crimes far outnumber murders while the masses consume copaganda that depicts a thin blue line between their daily lives & violent assault. The lead isn't a cop & is instead a fop. Banacek is equal parts queer coded and womanizing chauvinist. Mind blowing.

Oh but there's one huge negative. Every episode is the same plot, something valuable disappears elaborately. Odd!

'The Vanishing Chalice' is a terrible episode of #Banacek. There were slow season 1 episodes, but at least they built tension. This has scene after scene where itʼs obvious theyʼre filling up time. #TV
