    #Radicale hatte in der Vergangenheit zwei große Schwächen: a) keine geteilten Kalender/Resourcen und b) keine Management UI. Deswegen habe ich in der Vergangenheit öfter mal zu #Baikal gegriffen. Aber inzwischen hat Radicale beide Kritikpunkte beseitigt. Die UI ist noch etwas rough, aber sie tut was sie soll. #CalDav #CardDav #Groupware #FOSS

    @bekopharm I wonder if it's somethin with the #NextCloud #CardDAV specifically, it works fine with my #Baikal v0.10.1 install. I haven't tried changin the auth_realm to see if it breaks it though.

    Beim Wechsel zu Linux ging mir meine Lösung zur Sicherung/Synchronisation des Thunderbird-Adressbuchs verloren.

    Damals bin ich auf das selbstgehostete Baikal (sabre.io/baikal/ ; braucht "nur" PHP) gewechselt. Seitdem Kalendar, Aufgaben und Kontakte/Adressbücher überall ordentlich wie nie. Und nicht plötzlich wieder bei Google, wenn irgendein Häkchen vergessen. 1/2

    Great, an amazing chain of events and maybe unfortunate UI design in resulted in me deleting our shared addressbook - server side from an ancient instance, no backups (no mercy) of course. My rescue attemps of copying contacts around in (why does 'export' make an effing lossy CSV without avatar!?) just made it worse, 50% of contacts now left.

    I used the Sunday morning to upgrade my Baïkal instance to version 0.11.0 (if you experience issues with the MySQL connection afterwards, make sure to add the new required configuration entry mysql_ca_cert to your config).

    And I also used it to enable CardDAV (previously I solely used it as calendar via CalDAV) and moved all my contacts from iCloud to my own server. This was not as easy as […]
