I very much believe leaving Ro all alone to fight this battle while Welsh Pixie and the rest of the “trusted sources” either stay silent or point back at him to redirect their blame is very problematic and questionable.
It serves to continue keeping him in the spotlight furthering his stress and angst (which increases hostility and further escalated the problem) and it reduces their roles in this.
In short, their behavior is a giant red flag.

I think one of the problems with Bad Space discussion right now is the perception that it’s all about Ro. It is not. This is also about the “trusted sources” and the processes that are in place for putting servers in the bad space.
Remove Ro from this completely and the situation is still a hot mess.
For my part, if you look at the common denominators in all this drama Ro is actually very far from the equation.
And while Ron’s behavior is far from great but that’s neither here nor there in terms of the bad space itself.
Discussion can and should be recentered on the space itself and ALL of its contributors. This includes Welsh Pixie, the Strange Object admins, Rage.love, etc etc etc.
And I find it interesting that in all of this they’ve managed to stay aloof, separate, but also manage redirect and reframe this whole debacle back onto Ro being the only culpable person involved.

There is a fundamental difference between having a blocklist that targets actual racist/sexist/Nazi hate speech and intimidation; and having a "blocklist" that uses "hate speech" and antiracism as a cover for the actual agenda of a porgrom of transgender anarchists and their Indy Left allies.
The first is legitimate protection.
The second is....blatant targeted censorship and petty vendetta bullshit.
