  1. "There are multiple recycling centres in the area, but the specific facility has not been named by officials."

What's wrong with several or numerous?

  5. From our will no-one think of the poor, long-suffering motorist correspondent.

"The return of the Bristol Triathlon will challenge participants' endurance and mental fortitude. It will also test the patience of anyone looking to drive through the Hotwells area for much of Sunday, with multiple road closures in place."

Someone doesn't know that a deadline is the time and date of closure. 🤦‍♂️

  9. Suburb (n.): an area on the edge of a large town or city.

You can't have a suburb in the heart of a city.🤦‍♂️

  11. "Like many new technologies, air conditioning..."

Air conditioning for homes has been around since the 1950s.

The author also uses it to bash the 'left', presumably critics, over the head. 🤦‍♂️

    Stupid boy.

  13. The curse of #ambiguity strikes again.

"A major refurbishment is planned for a popular running track costing more than £500,000."

PS: I'm also old enough to remember this site as a public open space called Packer's Field.

  15. Passive voice failure.

"One of the biggest concerns is the impact on Felton Common, a nature reserve that would need to accommodate new landing lights as part of the runway extension. Residents have described the proposal as a "land grab" and warned of damage to a rare habitat."

The common doesn't 'need' to do anything; it would 'be needed' instead.

  17. "The More in Common study, which surveyed 440 young people across Britain, shows that 50% of gen Z Britons categorise Brexit as a failure."

Whilst I'd love to see this backward country back in the #EU, one point needs to be made.

440 is not regarded as a valid sample in statistical terms.

A sample of at least a thousand is needed.

  21. Sorry Mr Naughton, but Musk is not a pioneer of electric vehicles.

The electric milk float has been around for decades and Birmingham had electric bin lorries before WW2.

All Musk had was a piggy-bank, albeit a very large one.
