Bacofoil have DRM'd clingflim

I've been scammed!

I haven't really, I'm just annoyed, I really ought to have realised.

Basically, 9yo daughter* can't do clingfilm^ properly, and so we bought a Bacofoil dispenser, as it was cheap:

But of *course* standard clingfilm doesn't fit; the tube inside is too thin, and won't go over the poles holding the clingfilm in place.

It will *only* take Bacofoil clingfilm at about five times the cost of the supermarket stuff.

I am frustrated! It was less than a fiver, sure, but that's not the point.

I should have known, pretty much anything with a consumable now has been tied down so you have to buy branded.

First it was ink cartridges, then it was clingfilm. What's next?
