  1. A lil update on this - I ended up getting 2x #TP-Link #AX73 #routers to serve both storeys in my house for MYR ~737 (MYR ~368.5 each) and so far, I'm really happy with the performance and reliability.

They're incompatible with TP-Link's Deco Mesh line but they still support Mesh nonetheless, specifically
#EasyMesh which is a universal standard which means it could mesh together with other EasyMesh routers and extenders of various brands.

The web interface is great which is especially important to me (part of the reason I'm avoided the Deco line like the plague) so getting my port forwarding n whatnot set up was a breeze, I also keep hearing praise for their phone app but I never needed that so I didn't.

The setup process literally couldn't get any easier, I didn't know that you didn't need to set up all the VLANs and whatnot manually nowadays cos right out of the box you only need to select the configuration profile according to your specific
#ISP. The EasyMesh on this router also supports ethernet backhaul which is really nice to see.

The performance is really good - in both floors it serves. The screenshot I attached is almost max speed (800/200) even though I was at a far corner of my house some distance from the living room where the main router is. From our bedrooms upstairs, we're getting somewhere between ~470-500+/200+ which is a huge improvement over our previous
#AX3000 stock #D-Link router provided by our ISP. All in all, I really highly recommend this combo/setup if you're trying to reliably achieve a minimum of 500Mbps download speeds (otherwise, something like the #AX53 would suffice for ~300Mbps+).
