The royal commission is about one group of gentiles feeing like they did something and another feeling aggrieved by the Jews. Like holocaust museums, antisemitism trainings, etc.

Will we ever stop begging for love?

I’m no longer convinced that is the problem.

I think we recognise it.

What we struggle with is allowing it to stand on its own. We seem uncomfortable confronting antisemitism without immediately searching for context, qualification, or another way of understanding it. If that’s true, then acknowledging the problem is only the beginning. We also have to ask ourselves why we are so reluctant simply to accept what #Jewish #Australians are telling us.

Perhaps that is what the #RoyalCommission is really revealing.

Not only the experiences of the Jewish community, but the habits of a society that still finds it easier to debate those experiences than to sit with them."

The #Library seems #StrangelyIgnorant of the deaths of some 2000 #Australians, many after being forced into interactions with #DebtColllectionServices via the #DepartmentOfHumanServices run #RoboDebt program.

At least I hope they're ignorant.
And that's why they refer fees for 28 day(?) over due items to a "US based debt collection agency".

I decided not to join but to write a short note to council.

The #Voice was developed with grassroots consultation in the #Aboriginal and #TorresStraitIslander Community.

I don't know if gaps between #ATSI people & the rest of the population will close faster with the Voice speaking to Parliament.

But I have hope.

I also know that how we have done things for years has failed many ATSI people.

So I will vote YES to the Voice. Because it is what ATSI people have asked for, and because I believe in hope.

I hope other #Australians who read this do too.
