Fear of property value falling is only relevant if the property is on the market, or will be on the market in the future, to be sold. Meantime, the value of one’s property is irrelevant if it is one’s home because nothing will happen to the ‘value’ of that ‘home’. Live in it, enjoy it and die in it, and there are no issues with its ‘value’ as a home (unless your ‘home’ is an investment, in which case you’ve been had).

The #Howard fallacy of ‘mums & dads home inverstment’ is a complete fraud designed to benefit real estate speculators and artificially prop up the national economic wealth (one of the reasons polies are loath to change it). It’s a shame that so many #Australians continue to be duped by the wealthy #grifters of this world. There is no hope for any of us unless we wake up to it (as well as other tricks dreamed up to hoover money from our collective pockets).
