A slightly annoyed fennec, someone was cleaning up the sand in her enclosure and disturbing her peace.

Here are a few photos from a visit to the zoo today. I need to choose another time so fennecs are not only sleeping. Probably well fed and oblivious to the few visitors. At least she had a nice and cozy spot in the sun between blooming cacti. ^.^

Our zoo has this beautiful Christmas crib each year. As a bonus it mostly blocks the lion's den so they enjoy a few weeks free of visitors as well.
The figurines are made of wood, I think, and quite large. Some of them must be heavy. :3

While I am not a religious person at all, this one is really cute.
