I just found two cassette tapes of me talking to my mom (and myself - lol - deep thoughts about wanting to be Laura Ingalls Wilder) when I was a 5yo. I'd like to pull the audio off.
There exists these Walkman cassette recorders with SD cards that you can use to pull the audio, but a few reviewers say their tape got eaten. Has anyone had any experience with this? I know archival places exist but then I worry about losing the tapes in the mail.

macOS/iPhoneOS question - is there a good solution for manually changing the Sound Check/normalization settings for certain files? It's usually okay, but some tracks are way too quiet and others end up distorted, so I just turned it off for now.

The soundscape at the trailhead. It must be summer.
So, what should I use to trim off the clicks start and finish, bring up the levels, whatever else needs done?
And is this even a way to share it?
