Making the most of a sunny Sunday afternoon, we made the trip over to #aslanbrewing’s #Seattle taproom to try their newest draft-exclusive and latest #patagoniaprovisions collaboration - World’s First. Made with Strata and Chinook hops, one cannot escape pondering tropical passionfruit, fresh berries, pine forests, barnyard hay, and fresh baked bread.
Based on initial sips and the hop and malt profile, we went paired this Banh Mi from #localtide. Here’s the description from Local Tide.
“Rockfish Sausage Patty, Cucumber, Pickled Daikon & Carrot, Purple Cabbage, Fresno Chilis, Herbs, Nuoc Cham, Maggi’s House Kewpie, Baguette. Contains Pork.”
Overall, this pairing almost worked, but given this is our first go with this sandwich, there was some imbalance coming from the dish. Next time, we’ll have to pair this with the Salmon House Sando.
