I'm sure I'll talk about this year's Field Day until people are sick of it, but...can't help it. It'll take a day or two to compile scores, but there are some stats I'm pretty happy about.
100+ Number of people who signed the visitor log in the PIO tent
56 Number of operators who made a contact
6 ( I think) number of people who made their very first HF contact

Holy smokes I'm exhausted.
Conejo Valley Amateur Radio Club just wrapped up our 2026 ARRL Field Day, but to me, the final demonstration of just how committed this group is is the teardown. We took down the ~750' antenna array, all three tents (actually Field Hospitals; on load from County EMS), all 25 stations put away, all the Public Information displays taken down, site cleaned, everyone gone.
In under three hours. Unbelievable.

This club (CVARC) never fails to amaze me. In a single day we set up 25 stations, 3 portable quonset-style buildings, a massive public info center, and a 627' antenna array. People descend on the site and just find what needs to be done. About 15 people really kill it though.
Supposedly I'm the coordinator, but that just means I'm the ringleader, not the real attraction. I still managed 32,000 steps today though.

I'm in my shack with my Alpha Mag Loop Antenna for 80 - 10 meters and decided after having my FT-891 for many years I decided to configured it for Digital modes as #SpaceWeather conditions for the #HFBands may be suspect for the #AmateurRadio #HamRadio #ARRLFieldDay2026. May need as many mode options as possible. Not bad contacts considering today's band conditions
