An interesting report on a new $3.4 billion heating and cooling plant built into the cliff under Canada’s Parliament Hill between the National Library and Supreme Court of Canada to replace the former 100 year old steam plant to serve the core federal buildings in Ottawa.
It has been designed with sensitivity to the environment and respects the copper and other finishes of the Parliamentary Precinct in Ottawa. It also adds a new public park as its rooftop between the two major buildings.
