google, samsung, iphone: can we get an app freezer built into the operating system? maybe make it so that we could freeze apps for 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, etc...and then the apps would automatically unfreeze themselves and run normally? good for apps that you're supposed to run 24/7, but sometimes just need a break.

draft - in iOS 18, does locking an app freeze it as well? like, apps that do tracking and stuff like that, that we have to have running most of the time, but sometimes we as humans deserve a break from big brother, 1984, orwell etc...

draft - yaknow what i'd like in iOS and android? so, the locking apps is cool. but...to take things a step further, how about an option to freeze apps? apps that do a lot of tracking, we live in this world now, and sometimes, we, as human beings deserve a break from time to time. the issue is, the apps themselves aren't going to offer the break. so it's kinda up to the operating system to offer that ability. and maybe one could even setup a schedule for the freezing...so for example, apps that you have to kinda have running most of the time, but sometimes you want a break, you could long press the icon and choose "freeze for 2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours...etc" or something like that.
