I livecoded in public for the first time (not counting a captive audience of a dozen colleagues at a work retreat) yesterday at #algorhythms in Peckham. Just like the oneshot() in Switch Angel's prebake, it launches patterns quantized to a grid size, but additionally plays them for a specified number of cycles. They don't restart when updating other code, at least not until you negate the tl parameter.

#p5js worked well in the main hydra website when I tried it at last night's #AlgoRhythms

Unfortunately doesn't work in flok.cc
P5js takes over the canvas and either no hydra effects are displayed or no P5 canvas is displayed. For that reason I don't have high hopes of the hybrid working in the other multiframe environments such as dente.cc

It is good that the variety of live coding platforms continues to be wide ranging. I had feared it would become a monoculture with the recent influx of newcomers having strudel as their entry point.

Love seeing wacky experimental stuff such as live-cranking a pipe organ that is live coded in realtime

I don't know if I'll perform tomorrow because I'm very low on energy. But I know that just by going to algorhythms I'm going to charge my battery and get some good feels. It's such a sweet community and I'm thankful for it!
