I watched a bit of that new (or newish) #AlanPartridge show on the BBC.
And it was really good! I'm quite surprised because new comedies can be so dreary nowadays.
And it's good old Alan Partridge, doing his thing, but it's also a new format, so not just a continuation of an old format.
I'll have to get out the episodes on iplayer.

There’s a gap in the market in watch party apps. I really want to watch the stuff with others that get it. C has no interest in #alanpartridge and when I put on ‘How are you? It’s Alan (Partridge)’, she just zones out and talks over the jokes. I want to cry with laughter with someone that gets it. The tech for watching with someone or a group is well established, but how do I find the people to watch with? There’s a whole community / social need waiting to be met.

Got a chortle or two from every episode, he's still that same embarrassing cringe character as always. Fun to watch him struggle with reality and, in this case, fail to really grasp mental health.
The character has come a long way since The Day Today and Brasseye. They never would have guessed it back then.
