Such an interesting read especially the contrast between Australians’ trust & usage of AI (ChatGPT style, agentic AI) versus people in other countries. Also of interest, how others, in particular the Chinese, have approached regulation & actually regulated (while we’re still asleep at the wheel). I could have excerpted a dozen quotes but this closing comment from a sample user struck me:

“Meanwhile, in Queensland, Isabel still sees AI’s benefits and believes it has a useful role for teachers, especially in speeding up tedious, time-consuming administrative tasks.”

To which I ask: why not redesign & streamline the “tedious, time-consuming administrative tasks” rather than introducing another task on top of them? 🤔 This is the ‘the world’s got unlimited energy why be efficient’ framework that surely does nothing for climate crisis, productivity, or mental health.
I know, I know, a small thing… but emblematic & there could be other ways! 🤗
