¿Una nueva serie de Star Wars?

La nueva serie promete presentar a un nuevo villano más poderoso de los que hay en este momento

A pesar de su reciente regreso a los cines con The Mandalorian and Grogu, lo cierto es que Star Wars no ha olvidado del todo sus proyectos de streaming. De hecho, una de sus próximas series promete ser clave en el futuro de la franquicia galáctica. Tanto que los rumores ya apuntan a que presentará a un villano que sería tan poderoso y brutal que superaría incluso a Darth Vader.

Hablamos de la temporada 2 de Ahsoka, que se estrena en Disney+ el 20 de enero de 2027. En ella, continuaremos con las aventuras de la expadawan de Anakin Skywalker y el resto de aliados de la Nueva República en su lucha contra el malvado Gran Almirante Thrawn. Pero, al margen de este temible imperial, hay un camino por el que parece que la serie prepara la llegada de una de ls mayores amenazas de todo el universo Star Wars.

Porque Ahsoka y Sabine no son las únicas que acabaron la temporada 1 de la serie atrapadas en Peridea. En este remoto planeta de otra galaxia también se encuentra Baylan Skoll. En su última escena, vimos al villano en lo alto de una gigantesca estatua que apuntaba al horizonte. A lo lejos se veía una luz parpadeante, el poder que busca desesperadamente el guerrero.

Lo más interesante es que la estatua representa a una divinidad conocida como el Padre. Este es la figura principal de los Dioses de Mortis de Star Wars, un trío que completan la Hija y el Hijo. Estas tres deidades son unos seres tan poderosos y vinculados a la Fuerza que son la representación de dicha energía. La Hija está vinculada al Lado Luminoso. El Hijosimboliza el Lado Oscuro. Y el Padre es quien mantiene a ambos en equilibrio. Pero en el universo expandido de Legends existía una cuarta figura, la Madre.

La llegada de Abeloth a Star Wars

Según la historia de Legends, la Madre era mortal. Por ello, para igualarse al resto de la «familia» de Dioses de Mortis, decidió beber de la Fuente de Poder que le dio al Hijo el Lado Oscuro, y bañarse en el Estanque del Conocimiento que le dio a la Hija el Lado Luminoso.

Pero, en lugar de convertirse en una diosa, la Madre se transformó en un terrible monstruo, Abeloth. Este generaba caos y destrucción allá por donde pasaba. Sus poderes eran inmensos, brutales. Era capaz de cambiar de forma, aunque comúnmente se la representa como una mujer con una enorme boca, con unas dentadas y terribles fauces. También podía controlar la flora y fauna, así como manipular las mentes.

Por su conexión con los Dioses de Mortis, se convirtió en uno de los seres más poderosos de todo el universo Star Wars. Su capacidad destructiva era tal que los Dioses de Mortis se vieron obligados a encerrarla para que no arrasara con la galaxia entera. Y, si Ahsoka va a adaptar esta historia y convertirla en canon, puede que esa prisión esté en Peridea. Quizá Baylan Skoll esté tratando de llegar a ella y liberarla.
