If you've followed me on the Bird Site before you'll no doubt have seen me sing Scott McLaughlin's praises. To me he's a very complete driver. He has the drive and focus to succeed while not taking himself too seriously, which is rare in this sport.
Here McLaughlin recounts to Craig Lowndes on that incredible duel with Jamie Whincup at the Adelaide 500 back in 2014, and how #GiveItSomeJandal became a viral meme:

It was a fairy tale sendoff for the Holden marque at the Australian Supercars Adelaide 500. Walkinshaw Andretti United took a 1-2 victory with Chaz Mostert winning Saturday's race and teammate Nick Percat finishing 2nd. Sunday saw 20 year old young talent Broc Feeney take his maiden victory with Red Bull Ampol Racing.

The end of an era.
The mainstay Holden nameplate will disappear from the Australian Supercars Championship after the ZB Commodore retires from competition after this weekend's #Adelaide500.
I've watched these touring class for years. They offer the best bang-for-buck, exciting, close racing compared to any other top tier racing series I've covered.
Excited for the #Gen3 Chevrolet Camaro era but for now, a salute & farewell to Holden.
