#ActivismJourney 5/n So there and then I set up a WhatsApp group amongst fellow school parents and other parent friends. Quite a few people joined, we had meetings and talked about what to do. Simultaneously i searched for other parent groups - and found @Parents4FutureUK and @parents4future global. I joined them too and we decided we would be the Eastbourne branch of #ParentsForFuture . #ActivismJourney 4/n Ok so my climate actvism journey started in February 2019. I was watching a video of one of the youth strikes at the time. Hearing the children’s voices, I suddenly felt that they were asking me, and that I, as an adult and parent, needed to act for them. It was a real #Ecophany - a term that I saw a few weeks later in this article (about people who joined XR) and that really resonated.

3/n I have no idea whether this is interesting for anyone else here, but might - for myself really - do a little thread over the next few days or weeks about my #ActivismJourney to date. Who knows, maybe it will help get me out of the current slump - or maybe at least accept it. Apologies in advance, it might be a little self-indulgent, so just ignore if boring!
