    En la provincia indonesia de Aceh, una pareja ha sido condenada a recibir latigazos en público por besarse y acariciarse en un vídeo publicado en TikTok.
    No estaban casados y, según la interpretación de la ley islámica que se aplica allí, eso constituye una infracción.

    Aceh es una excepción dentro de Indonesia.
    Es la única provincia donde está vigente la sharia como legislación regional, y desde hace años contempla castigos físicos para determinadas conductas.
    Lo que para muchos lugares del mundo sería una muestra de afecto entre dos adultos, allí puede acabar en un tribunal y con una condena pública.

    Más allá del debate religioso o cultural, esta noticia invita a reflexionar sobre cómo un mismo gesto puede tener consecuencias completamente opuestas según el lugar donde nazcas.
    Un beso puede ser una expresión de cariño... o convertirse en un delito.

    A veces olvidamos hasta qué punto las libertades que consideramos normales dependen del país, de las leyes y del momento histórico que nos ha tocado vivir.
    Y eso, como mínimo, debería hacernos valorar lo que tenemos y pensar en quienes todavía no pueden decidir libremente sobre aspectos tan básicos de su propia vida.

  13. The disaster on Indonesia's Sumatra Island in late November 2025 devastated many places in Aceh, including tourist areas. A total of 225 tourist destinations were scattered across the province's disaster areas due to flooding and landslides.

    Murtalamuddin, spokesperson for the Aceh Disaster Management Command Post, stated that most of the damage was categorized as severe and spread across several areas directly affected by the floods and landslides. Of the 225 damaged tourist destinations, 198 were severely damaged, 18 were moderately damaged, and nine were slightly damaged.

    He detailed the 198 heavily damaged tourist destinations, with the largest number being in Gayo Lues Regency (65), followed by Aceh Tamiang (42), Bireuen (20), Bener Meriah (19), and Pidie Jaya (13). Then, Aceh Singkil (10), North Aceh (8), Central Aceh (8), East Aceh (6), Southeast Aceh (4), and Langsa, Subulussalam, and West Aceh (one each).
