Another “tell” of generative AI text masquerading as student writing: punchy topic sentences at the beginning of most paragraphs.
In my experience, this is not a skill 18y.o.s bring to college. And it’s prominent in the three papers from my stack (so far) that have smelled like robot poop in other ways.
