  1. arXiv bans authors for one year if they submit unchecked AI-generated content to the preprint repository

The preprint repository will implement one-year bans for authors who submit papers with incontrovertible evidence of unchecked AI-generated work.

  2. In this presentation, I explore the idea of "AI plagiarism" not as a simple violation, but as a mismatch between new modes of text production and outdated systems for assessing knowledge and contribution.

    :doi: doi.org/10.13140/RG.2.2.25560.

If text no longer reliably reflects thinking, what exactly are we evaluating?

This is part of my workshop at the Science Festival 2026.

  7. While researching #EinsteinAI, I discovered that different #LearningManagementSystems (#LMS) allowed EinsteinAI, while others did not. #CanvasLMS was one of the ones who allowed Einstein and bunch of other #AIAgents. No wonder they got #hacked! It sounds like everybody had a key to get in!

A “student-in-a-box” agent arrives—what Einstein signals about the next phase of AI automation

By Juan Martinez, Feb 25, 2026

"Companion.AI’s newly unveiled 'Einstein' agent is not merely another #GenerativeAI assistant; it is a pointed demonstration of how quickly the market is moving from chat-based help to autonomous, persistent agents capable of completing entire workflows end-to-end. By interfacing directly with the Canvas #LearningManagementSystem (LMS), Einstein is positioned to log into student accounts, ingest course materials, participate in discussion threads, draft assignments, and submit finished work—effectively compressing the student’s academic workflow into a 'set it and forget it' automation layer."
