Por tercer año consecutivo, Corona fue reconocida como la marca de cerveza más valiosa del mundo en el informe BrandZ 2026 de Kantar sobre las marcas globales más valiosas, publicado hoy. De acuerdo con el ranking, ocho de las diez marcas de cerveza más valiosas del mundo pertenecen a AB InBev, compañía global de la que Grupo Modelo forma parte.
En 2025, Corona lideró el desempeño de AB InBev con un incremento de 8.3% en ingresos fuera de su mercado de origen y un crecimiento de volumen de doble dígito en 30 mercados. Por su parte, Corona Cero registró un sólido crecimiento de doble dígito en volumen.
“En 2025, como parte de la celebración de su centenario, Corona lanzó la plataforma global ‘Corona 100’, que incluye el patrocinio multianual de un icónico concierto en la playa de Copacabana, en Río de Janeiro. En México, el festejo del Centenario de Corona se llevó a cabo en el Zócalo de la Ciudad de México con un concierto de Shakira, que rompió el récord de asistencia en la principal plaza pública del país al reunir a más de 400 mil personas”, comentó Felipe Ambra, vicepresidente de Marketing de Grupo Modelo.
El impulso continuó durante el primer trimestre de 2026, cuando AB InBev alcanzó ingresos históricos y un crecimiento de volumen liderado por Corona, que creció 16% fuera de su mercado de origen tras su exitoso debut como la primera cerveza patrocinadora global de los Juegos Olímpicos de Invierno. En México, el portafolio core de cervezas continuó creciendo, con un aumento de ingresos de un dígito medio, impulsado principalmente por Corona. También, el crecimiento de volumen de doble dígito Corona Cero y Model0% en el país llevó a Grupo Modelo a consolidarse como líder en la categoría cero. –sn–
