Tagelang war unsere Wohnung ein Hotspot der Semi-Kolloquiums-Vorbereitung. 4 tolle junge Leute, die sich mit Engagement auf die Verteidigung ihrer Seminarfacharbeit (#Abi) vorbereitet haben - es war eine Freude das zu erleben. Die Atmosphäre war einfach grandios.

The Thermo site says we can't download the software without being a registered purchaser. 🙄

Symptom: MCAS Brain Fog
This post comes to you with a reminder that while “Brain Fog,” is an apt descriptor, it should not be used to undermine the severity of the condition.
“These are fairly identical functional symptoms that people with Long COVID have, to the symptoms that people within a traumatic brain injury have,” says Dr James C Jackson, psychologist specializing on cognitive rehabilitation and Long Covid.
“Strictly speaking, this is not a traumatic brain injury (TBI) because there’s no external trauma. Which is why if we go down deep, this will be not a TBI that people experience. It would be something called an ABI, the lesser-known cousin of a TBI. Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI) happen often due to internal processes, not external medical processes, inflammation, the 101 other mechanisms that drive these injuries. And when we look at the brains of some Long COVID patients, we see brain damage on MRIs, we see indicators that are not dissimilar from those of people with mild cognitive impairment or a mild TBI.“
Dr Jackson is the author of Clearing the Fog: a book on navigating life with the cognitive and mental health impairments that often accompany Long Covid.

Ich habe gerade eben einem 12.-Klässler bei Mathe geholfen. Er war irritiert, wie man so schnell und ohne jeden Taschenrechner ne Kurvendiskussion durchführen kann. Er hingegen hat für jedes Gleichungssystem wesentlich länger für das Eintippen gebraucht als ich im Kopf... Und _ich_ konnte die Ergebnisse auch noch interpretieren...
Aber ne ganz andere Frage: seit wann sind Mathe-Klausuren so ätzend geworden? Irgendwelche -0.003x³+beliebige andere krumme Werte + 1,545 oder so war das. Und dann sollte der Punkt gesucht werden, in dem die Steigung -0,254 oder so ist.
Haben die Leute, die solche Klausuren stellen, schlicht verlernt, Aufgaben mit schönen Zahlen zu erstellen? Oder ist das, um die Nutzung von Taschenrechnern zu forcieren? Oder soll das Praxisbezug oder so zeigen?

And in attempting to add libssl to be wrapped, I have now hit that ABI issue.
Simply loading libssl via CDLL causes other tests to break, because the new libssl overrides the symbols causing an ABI compatibility problem.
I hadn't hit that problem yet, because I never got far enough to calling an ngtcp2 function that tried to access the SSL ABI.
Now I have to decide how to handle this.
