Hawaiian government org orders feral cat group that have been spayed and neutered to be starved to death to protect a local bird that isn't threatened by them.
I've been to this place, met the cats, and donated to ABayKitties. They do good work at reducing this population humanely. Tourists are a much bigger problem to Nene and no one is calling for starving the tourists.
