Because Nixon signed the 26th Amendment, I was able to cast my first vote in a general election for Shirley Chisholm . I was clear-eyed my vote would not elect her, but I wanted my vote for her to signify what I BELIEVED IN FOR OUR COUNTRY. And so I could tell this story and ONE DAY it would be entirely relevant. ❤️🇺🇸🗳️🗳️🗳️
