Am I wrong that without the 5-4 "requires enabling legislation" holding House members could object at the electoral certification and refuse to accept a slate of electors for Trump if he wins?
If so, I think that is a compelling reason to reach farther than necessary in the opinion.
Although to be clear, I think it is bad law (to be fair, the entire decision is bad law).
