Spending time in #Udupi #India, I've to be extra disciplined to eat healthy because #food is plenty and plenty of food is #unhealthy (but tasty). My success requires the understanding of both hosts and the serving personnel, and most days they take very good care of me.
Today was especially moving because I was at a place and people new to me, but they heard + understood my needs, gave me a prime spot where they could monitor what was being served to me, and they made sure I got plenty of whatever I wanted; and nothing I didn't.
It's amazing how many people it takes for just one person to live well, and how generous, tolerant, and welcoming Udupi people are. 🙇♂️

#tbt: Last year this time my wife and I were in the middle of a marvelous 8-day road trip in Texas Hill Country where we hiked/walked everyday:
- Drove 1300kms (810mi)
- Visited 3 state parks, 2 nature areas,
- Hiked 103kms (64mi)What a blast that was. The memory makes me want to drop everything and leave for a road trip *right now*.

Slapping the labels "enshittification" on businesses and "fascist" on individuals is all the rage now.
Though justified in many cases, these labeling acts are quickly becoming a "See I'm woke too" sort of virtue signaling.
People with tens/hundreds of thousands of followers doing this, and their posts getting hundreds/thousands of uncritical engagements is only going to make things worse.
