  1. Looking for the owner of a lost PCB from a SMD soldering workshop at #39c3! 🐱

This interactive cat board purrs when you pet it nicely but hisses if you rub it wrong. Left behind after Day 3 at Hardware Hacking Assembly - the only one not picked up after programming.

Video attached, and photo of unique 0402 practice grid in comments. Boost to help this PCB find its owner! (Assembly run by @maltman23, workshop taught by Kliment)

  2. For Bay Area Maker Faire this year, I created some giveaway keychain PCBs based on the EMF Explorer Badge, and folks got to practice soldering using iFixit's Power Series portable soldering stations. Big thanks to @oshpark for producing the circuit boards, and @iFixit for sharing their soldering irons for folks to use. Catch me at an event, and I might just have a few left to share. #ifixit #oshpark

  3. For #Teardown2024, I used art from that year's t-shirts to create an SMD solder challenge board. The OG design made by MakersBox was a perfect fit for the escalator artwork, which I converted into PCB layers and printed by @oshpark. The component sizes went from 1206 to 0201, which is comically small and not meant to be soldered by hand. Regardless, some folks were able to achieve a full build! #oshpark

  8. #Teardown2025 was our best year ever. I helped with so many wonderful workshops and taught a soldering workshop myself, using my EMF Explorer Badge soldering board to assemble and explore electromagnetic frequencies. Thanks to all the epic folks who taught workshops and attendees who helped make it a success.

  9. #HackadayEurope was a blast. Hosted at Motion Labs in Berlin, we showed up early to help solder up all the SAOs as a last-minute assembly party in preparation for everyone's arrival the next day. Attendees got a batch of SAOs to get them started, which paired well with Hackaday's SAO badge design.

  19. For #Toorcamp2024, I taught my EMF Explorer Badge soldering workshop to wonderfully attentive students. We went through about 40 kits, and there were SO many interesting things to listen to across the campgrounds! The event happens every other year on Orcas Island. Great way to relax in the woods with 700 nerds camping amongst tech.
