Your periodic reminder not to be someone else's reason for staying on #CorporateSocialMedia.

@Olyindivisible I have pretty much ceded #CorporateSocialMedia to the right. I used to tear it up w/the trolls on facebook back in the day, but it got to be too stressful, like you say. I'm torn whether I've done the right thing on that.
But it seems like not contributing content/engagement to these increasingly malignant 'services' is probably the better move. Better for me anyway...

@KraftTea Good on ya!
My slogan these days is:
Don't be someone else's reason for staying on #CorporateSocialMedia.

Co-worker: Okay Roy--we'll need you in this meeting in like 30 minutes--please stand by & we'll let you know when to join.
::much important discussion ensues as I work on other things::
Co-worker: Dang it--looks like we're not going to get to your agenda item at all this time--we'll have to pull you in to a future meeting.
Me: YOU'RE TELLING ME I SHAVED MY LEGS FOR NOTHING?

sometimes I think 30% of my value is just eating leftover pork meals before they go bad. #EasterHam

the interesting thing about the aurora borealis pics I got w/my phone (pixel 8 pro) last night is that they have way more color than I was perceiving w/my eye. In real life it was a pretty monochromatic experience. Still cool mind you, but mostly just the gossamer sheets of light.
(the pics themselves are not very interesting, else I would post them like everyone else ;-)

My Q in a work meeting just now: "So we're moving away from #Teradata b/c the pricing has become untenable. Are you all thinking about how/where we move again if the same thing becomes true of #databricks ?"
Leadership did *not* like that question...

anybody know what #teradata session option you set so it spits out a list of e.g., indexes you could add that would bring down the run-time of your query? I can not remember that thing...

TIL that #teradata has `least` and `greatest` functions that give column-wise min and max. Handy!

Resolved: no committee on which Jim Jordan--who flouted a congressional subpoena--sits, can issue a subpoena that anybody should have to pay the slightest attention to.
