  11. Seriously people. Don't get pissy with me for calling you at work because you answered the phone to what is most likely to you an unrecognized number while you were at work. #WorkPost

  21. Co-worker: Okay Roy--we'll need you in this meeting in like 30 minutes--please stand by & we'll let you know when to join.

::much important discussion ensues as I work on other things::

Co-worker: Dang it--looks like we're not going to get to your agenda item at all this time--we'll have to pull you in to a future meeting.

Me: YOU'RE TELLING ME I SHAVED MY LEGS FOR NOTHING?

  25. Argh. I'm running into an issue on my work system website where it takes up more and more memory as time progresses. I've already had it crash because it ran out of memory (4 GB), and I don't know what to do about this. I've had to restart Chrome and log in again more than once today. Any idea what could be causing this? I've tried deleting *all* of the cookies and other data in Chrome's settings. Not sure if it's the site itself or what. #WorkPost

  39. Happy Monday, I come back to work with a bunch of Slack responses to do, but it's good to stretch the accessibility muscles again and get back into the seat after a week off. I need distractions anyway from the election. People asking me questions and needing my help to solve various issues in their repo is far better for me than ruminating on news. I stayed largely away from it last week with Myth Busters and watching the Science channel or Investigation Discovery, stuff like that. #workPost

  44. I’ll be stepping way out of my comfort zone and presenting at the #DistributedSQL Summit on November 12 on behalf of my employer - #ComplyAdvantage, organised by our key partner, #YugabyteDB.

Data is central to our solutions at ComplyAdvantage and in the session I’ll share some of the lessons we’ve learned while harnessing distributed database technology to address the critical challenges of anti-money laundering and fraud detection.
