Argh. I'm running into an issue on my work system website where it takes up more and more memory as time progresses. I've already had it crash because it ran out of memory (4 GB), and I don't know what to do about this. I've had to restart Chrome and log in again more than once today. Any idea what could be causing this? I've tried deleting *all* of the cookies and other data in Chrome's settings. Not sure if it's the site itself or what. #WorkPost

Happy Monday, I come back to work with a bunch of Slack responses to do, but it's good to stretch the accessibility muscles again and get back into the seat after a week off. I need distractions anyway from the election. People asking me questions and needing my help to solve various issues in their repo is far better for me than ruminating on news. I stayed largely away from it last week with Myth Busters and watching the Science channel or Investigation Discovery, stuff like that. #workPost

Finally implemented an hour on, hour off strategy I've been debating for a year to help with productivity. The past month has been an absolute fuster cluck due to a rather bad mental health run, so I feel a bit like I'm starting fresh. I'll take that though. I work for an hour, then take an hour break. I've managed between and three and four hours a day since last Thursday, apart from one day when tech issues kicked my butt. This is without caffeine as well. I don't want to have to keep on caffeine to feel happy on a hit-and-miss basis, so I'll be going in to talk to my physician tomorrow to see if I can get some help on that front. I'm sick of feeling just meh on my best days. More work means more #WorkPost musings... Yay, or something.

Made a call. Nobody answered. I forgot to mark it and consequently end the call and resulting recording. Then my headset started giving me trouble. So all my killing two birds with one stone by venting and testing audio at the same time got captured in the recording. Swear words and all. Whoops... #WorkPost

Just asked a project manager for status on a new db that I need, and was told that they have "storied" it.

Oh, cool. It's now "storied"? I'm hoping the story is non-fiction at some point...

I swear, there are people who pick up the phone, and the first word from their mouth tells you exactly how you’re going to be treated. I’ve had some points where somebody would be an absolute grouchface at first but still end up taking a survey and end up a little happier for having talked to me, but there are more often people these days who have the ability to stick a pin in anyone’s happiness balloon by just saying hello. If you’re going to be an absolute jerk in even the simple process of greeting someone, don’t bother answering the phone. Seriously. #WorkPost

I was pleasantly surprised to receive my docking station and wireless headset today, only hours after I placed my order. There will be those who think both along with my wireless keyboard of choice are overkill, but I really don't care. It's business equipment, and I can get it deducted from my taxes. The wireless keyboard was bought at the same time through the manufacturer's website rather than on Amazon, so it will be arriving later. Still, I've got a great start on things. #WorkPost

Well then! After my instance decided to choke on its own saliva, I've finally gotten back into posting again. Was sad not to be able to give you guys #WorkPost things, focus music, etc., but everything seems to be in working order again! For the time being, anyway.
