Happy St Patrick's Day, from #boozeInTheBath.
I think I'm definitely getting better at pouring these... just look at that head! -
Om nom nom... Lovely big gin for #boozeInTheBath.
Had a lovely stroll out with the family this morning down to Botany Bay and then along the coast (forgot to take photos, sorry), and now relaxing with this and some #6music. -
A cheap co-op red for today's #boozeInTheBath. This is their Eagle's Pass Shiraz Malbec.
It's alright, nothing to write home about, but certainly not bad.I think we'll be back to thinking of ideas for @shirtforce during today's soak.

Classic (large) G&T, with added cucumber. I love cucumber in gin, so it had to be done for #boozeInTheBath.
Also, me with added bubbles, thanks to our youngest. -
It's a really interesting one for #boozeInTheBath... This Kopparberg Lemon and Lime Fruit Lager is an odd one.
On one hand it's really delicious, and at the same time possibly far too sweet. It's like a lemon cake, and an overly zesty shandy.
-
A pint (or few) of Beavertown Gamma Ray from a PerfectDraft pressie that I received last month.
It's an excellent beer, truly, and a great #boozeInTheBath. -
Well this is a fruity number!
No, not me*, I mean the @vaultcitybrewing Triple Fruited Mango sour beer.
It's VERY fruity, possibly slightly too much, but still pretty damn delicious, and a great start to this weekend's #boozeInTheBath.*Ok, maybe I could be fruity, if the situation required it.

This potential @shirtforce t-shirt idea came to me at the skatepark... I'm still very much in the honeymoon phase with it, so I'd like some external views.
So... whatcha reckon?

With DataWeave In Apex going GA in #Winter24 this vid of my talk at June's London Salesforce Developer meet is released at the perfect time. Also a good chance to see it if you missed it at CzechDreamin.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwxlShuOfEU
Huge thanks to Publicis Sapient for hosting, and Matt Bevins for video production.
There are also some pretty funny out-takes too... I might have to put together a little blooper-type reel.

Ever wanted to get a visual view of a Salesforce Flow in VS Code?
Now you can with the Salesforce Flow Visualiser.
https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=ToddHalfpenny.sfflowvisualiser
Please share, try it out, and let me have feedback.
It’s open source, and I’ll be publishing the lib that powers it too. The underlying lib should also be able to be used from the CLI (to come), along with features like rendering to files etc.

This time last week I attended a very memorable @Salesforce World Tour in London.
Too much happened to fit into a tweet/thread/hoot… but you can read all about it here.

A lot of the @shirtforceOrg t-shirt ideas that come to me are ones that I'd genuinely wear...
... and then there are some that are as if they'd be made especially for me.

London’s Calling and Antipatterns to Look For in Flow
What is London’s Calling?
London’s Calling is one of the most significant Dreamin’ events in the Salesforce ecosystem. Its unique feature is that most sessions are recorded. I can find recordings of the sessions from 2016 to 2023 on its website.
London’s Calling is a massive event with a packed agenda; 8 sessions are running in parallel. Attending the sessions that are important to you is a hassle. Especially if you are presenting, you may miss a few time slots getting ready before and winding down after your session.
This year, most sessions were live-streamed. Participants could buy in-person tickets that sold out a few days before the event or online tickets that allowed them to watch the sessions on live-stream.
Antipatterns
I have been thinking about creating content around flow antipatterns for some time now. I wanted to give everybody a guide on visual cues that show them potential issues with flows. London’s Calling allowed me to finish my content and present it to the ecosystem. The recording for my session, Architect Automated Solutions for Real World Antipatterns, is now available online for ticket holders. I will present this content virtually in the coming days at community group events. If you want to see it, you will have plenty of opportunities.
Which sessions did I see this year?
Enough about my own content! What did I learn?
- “Skill Up Your Copilot with Custom Actions,” by Keir Bowden: I liked this session because Keir taught us how to build custom Copilot actions using flow and code.
- “Help, I’m a Flow Admin Who Needs to Learn Data Cloud!” by Mark Ross: A packed overview of what Data Cloud is for admins and how you can leverage its power with flow.
- “Using Data Cloud APIs with Mulesoft,” by Danielle Larregui, Akshata Sawant: A testament to how much I still have to learn about Mulesoft and integration overall. I will have to dive into the free resources provided by this incredible team.
- “Marketing Cloud Growth: SMB Playground or Future Powerhouse?” by Sarah Kelleher and Zoe Fisher: How big a transition will this be for marketing admins, and what support will they need for learning flow instead of journey builder? Food for thought.
- “Automation Smackdown: Clicks vs Code,” by Melissa Shepard: Do not mix Apex and Flow was one of the recommendations. I want to ask why three times here. Note to myself to follow up.
- “Flow Triggers v2.0: Unlocking Enhanced Automation Capabilities,” by Ashwin Kumar Srinivasan: The Transform element has so much potential. We need to keep on teaching and delivering demos.
- “Integrating Salesforce Flow & Omniscript,” by Bratalomiej Wasowski: Impressive walkthrough and demo. Why? Because the customer needs it that way. Interoperability is always valuable.
I still managed to catch up with folks I had never met and saw a few I had met before at other events. I missed a few people, but I made new friends, as well.
Overall, it was a fun and fantastic event. I thank the organizers, Louise Lockie, Francis Pindar, Kerry Townsend, Todd Halfpenny, and Jade Hawken, as well as the sponsors, the presenters, and the participants.
