Just made a donation to the #OSUOSL .
I started my software development journey in college pulling down random Linux ISOs and installing them with friends on weekends. OSUOSL has been invaluable for the open source community and helped give me start my career, and I'm happy to give back.

Interview with Kevin Fenzi

Why do you want to be a member of FESCo and how do you expect to help steer the direction of Fedora?
I wish to continue to serve the fedora community on FESCo to provide history and help make today’s decisions based on yesterdays learning.
How do you currently contribute to Fedora? How does that contribution benefit the community?
I currently am lucky to be employed by Red Hat working full time on Fedora Infrastructure. But outside of that ‘day job’ I try and do as many things as I can to help the fedora community: Maintaining packages, providing feedback on plans or ideas, doing release engineering tasks (often in non ‘work’ times).
How do you handle disagreements when working as part of a team?
I try and reach consensus until it becomes clear thats not possible. However, it almost always is possible, you just need to look at things from other perspectives and consider what solution would work for everyone. This is not foolproof, but helps to handle disagreements when they happen.
What else should community members know about you or your positions?
I’m happy to talk to anyone from the community anytime about fedora items. Feel free to contact me on matrix or irc or email. I’m human and make mistakes, but I like to think I learn from them and do better over time. 🙂

In other news, ev charger is mostly behaving the way I want / set it to.
That is: Only charge when there is enough spare solar for it, otherwise it just waits for the sun and if the batteries are charging they have higher priority.
Oddly the default setting was this but with checked options for 'battery boost' (charge from battery) and 'grid charging' ( temp fast charging from grid).

Thanks for the votes and comments. ;)
I decided to probibly look at joining the authors patreon and if I don't care for the first book drop off. -

I've gotten behind here posting daily #fedora stuff. ;(
But to catch up and summarize monday and tuesday and today, I've been doing rhel10 reinstalls along with usual meetings and day to day.
All our smtp incoming machines are moved. A bunch of our non main datacenter virthosts are moved. One of those has been giving me headaches though, as it has no remote console and I want to clean install it. Pull up the followup toot for a list of those. ;)
Also updated our openshift clusters.

I would not have thought my dislike of ticketbastard would have been able to grow anymore, but it has. :(
Trying to sell some tickets there it takes a vast 'seller fee' and it actually doesn't work, spews an error when I try and move forward in the flow.
Sad that #flocktofedora is right at the time of this rush concert. ;( (But I am going to see them later in the tour at least).

Ananas = pineapple
So i tried a ripe ananas. The same story as with pear. It is sweet and juicy.
It doesn't hurt my tongue with its acid and nothing like packed ananas juice.
But the very juice is special. It is not like ananas itself. It's soft.
Now i like them. But I don't know if i will be able to find them ripe later. #Food #fruits #ananas #pineapple -

I am still not sure how to use this micro blogging service.
Forums allow to find information or join a conversation months and years after.
While I do not like text walls in chats they allow me to join. Channel allow to separate feed and conversation.
Groups allow to find people to talk to.
I can use tag system to find post and people but i feel it's not how it was intended.
Or to use Servers as i would use chats or channels. After all mastodon allows to created a dedicated to a hobby server similar how telegram or other services allow to create chats or channels for hobby.
Nevertheless i sympathize the Timeline function. Telegram lacks it and the only way to find a completely new channel or chat is to assume it exist or to receive an invitation. #hooves.social #mastodon #hoovessocial #mastodon -

Still confused how this system works. #thoughts #opinion -
I sure hope we can all rally around OSUOSL and get them the funding they need to continue their invaluable work.
#fedora has a server hosted there that provides a number of vm's as well as a power10 instance for package maintainers to test their packages on power10.
They have touched so many open source communities!
If you have a way to help them, please do!

Today in #fedor infra:
* Cleaned up development/41 and related now old f41 stuff.
* Increased the kerberos ticket lifetime from 24 to 28 hours. Hope it helps out a little bit not having to renew as often.
* Finally started working on ansible stuff for a secondary riscv-koji. Made good progress.
* Cleaned up some backup snapshots and freed up another ~12tb of space.
* Bunch of emails/prs/meetings as usual. -
