At $200/barrel the carbon-tax and no-dividend of Trump's Greed No Deal will be $333/ton on the most difficult-to-substitute fossil fuels.

Andrew Paul Johnson, pardoned by Trump for his participation in an attempt to overthrow the government on 1/6, has been convicted of multiple state charges of child molestation. He attempted to bribe one of his victims with money he claimed he would receive as part of restitution for Jan. 6 defendants.

MAGA's #pedocons have turned the Department of Justice into a distributor of child porn that simultaneously doxxed the victims.

Right below the above horror story is another one about how the #pedocon festooned White House acted to protect the sex traffickers Andrew and Tristan Tate.
ProPublic has the written orders from the White House's lawyer, and the White House's lawyer's lawyer brazenly lies that no such orders exist. I guess they'll get away with it until they don't.

Yet another horror story about fundamentalist Christians covering up terrible sex crimes against children. The molester here was a parishioner and the church -- not just the leadership but entire congregations -- repeatedly circled their wagons to protect him, instead demanding the victims forgive him and swear their silence, covering it up so thoroughly even siblings did not know about each other's victimization by the same man.

Andrew Paul Johnson follows his fellow "j6ers" Andrew Taake, David Daniel, and Theodore Middendorf by being charged with child sex crimes after being pardoned by President Donald Trump.

Maybe I need to find one good #ChrisRufo monitor because then you know what @FAIR will be complaining about in a few months when some mutation of his trolling passes muster with a half dozen of the more ghoulish editors at the Times.
Sorry to any #ASL Americans with the incredible human capacity to convey language entirely by sign. Which came first? It would be more fun to think about than who the bellwether troll will dehumanize next.

Thomas #Aquinas, you should recall for the next time this comes up with some anti-abortion kook, said abortion is not murder in his graduate thesis on the Sentences of Peter Lombard. He only frowns on it as another form of birth control, something the Catholic church still opposes and most Catholics have used anyway for the price of a few Hail Marys.

Melania Trump agrees with Thomas #Aquinas that #abortion is not #murder, though she wonders why anyone would care.

Of course #NoNutNovember has proto-fascist roots:
"before the term “eugenics” had been coined, Richard Wagner (1813–83)... decried Jewish art as improperly German for its 'masturbatory' nature and viewed Jews as sexually deviant and mentally handicapped because of their widespread masturbation and homosexuality, interweaving onanism and social Darwinism to produce a fear of masturbating Jews contributing to the moral and genetic degeneracy of the German nation."

This documentary about American #mercs assassinating political opponents of the UAE's project in South #Yemen -- the BBC interviews the targets they missed -- is some high comedy.
It starts out the gate with a serial killer mustache spinning fishing tales and bedtime stories about Al Qaeda for his weekend warrior marks when he was blasting soft cultural targets in the "hellhole" of Yemen and all I want to know is how many police departments have been trained by him.

"Last spring, I arranged to bring clowns to perform for the children of Al-Hol... Ali Batran, a portly man with a mischievous grin who hails from central Syria. During the caliphate’s rule, Ali was arrested five times for hawking cigarettes; once, he received forty-five lashings and was enrolled in a Sharia reëducation course. Still, unlike his compadres, he had no qualms about visiting a camp filled with his former tormentors. “Children are children,” Ali said."
-
"I asked the children what they thought lay beyond the fence. Among the answers I received: “nothing,” “hungry people,” “dogs,” “soldiers,” “stairs,” “houses,” “gardens,” “infidels,” “my father.”"

"Naser, six years old, wasn’t sure what distinguished a camp from other living arrangements. Another child boasted that she’d once seen “moving drawings,” which I guessed was a cartoon, and she queried where she might see more."
-
"He was born in the camp; his father, who had belonged to ISIS, vanished in the bowels of the prison system. In Al-Hol, meanwhile, his mother was accused by ISIS members of collaborating with authorities. One evening, she was marched to a sewage ditch and shot. Tahir is now in the care of an ailing grandmother. I asked him if he knew what ISIS was, and he shook his head."

Must-read reporting from Anand Gopal:
"About fifty thousand... residents are under indefinite detention, as no plans have apparently been made to prosecute any of them—imagine if Guantánamo were the size of a city, and its inmates were mostly women and children."

"As a result of the demobilization of Gadaffi’s former Tuareg mercenaries [by NATO], these heavily armored fighters returned to their homelands in Mali and Niger where they teamed up with local paramilitaries, many of whom have been dispossessed victims of climate-induced wide-spread pauperization... first in northern Mali in 2012 which then spread to Niger and Burkina Faso in 2015."

Endless vacuous blather about primarying Biden over his age rather than his repeated surrenders to Republican ransoms on the country.
