Another bike ride over the river today. It was a gorgeous day in DC, but the tourist hotspots weren't crowded. Small bands of soldiers in camo uniforms milled around in their place with nothing to do. How much is this occupation costing, in dollars? How much are we spending on this pointless deployment, and how much tourism have we lost? #DCtakeover

I'm home from travel and just living my life again. Rode my bike to DC proper again for the first time today (with my child for non political reasons). The police are everywhere and more, because of #dctakeover and the Zelenskyy visit. I regret to inform you I was not cool and collected, I'm so angry.
