Memories of Djangonaut Space. 🥰 🚀
What an amazing program, and it was lovely being mentioned in yesterday's PyCon US keynote by Rachell and Tim.
A complete lack of spoons keeps me away from participating in current rounds of DS and other contributions, but I wish the program all the best and hope to eventually return.

💡 TIL: Vivaldi page actions.
I somehow never paid much attention to the (for me) bottom bar of the Vivaldi browser.
There is lots of useful stuff in there!
For example, there is a page zoom slider that is super handy for testing website responsiveness at different zoom levels, or when you cannot use keyboard shortcuts.
The biggest surprise is the "Page actions" menu, under a button next to the zoom slider.
One of the page actions is the "CSS debugger", which adds outlines to all elements. This saves you from manually adding `border: 1px solid red !important` when debugging.
The menu also has other filters and highlights, and even a minimap.
If you haven't explored that bar yet, I recommend you look around there.

Not a bad two days for my Web Tools project:
* Removed the new but inaccessible hamburger menu.
* Added breadcrumb navigation on subpages (can be toggled in settings).
* Two new tools: URL encoder and URL param stripper.
* A plethora of CSS tweaks and fixes.
* Me learning new things about SvelteKit, including a stint with (experimental) async layout data inheritance. -

Less than an hour until my presentation at a local International Women’s Day event.
I was asked to talk about my history as the only woman in the office.
The title is pretty cool, in my opinion:
“Walking the man’s plane.”

Presentation question:
For a non-technical presentation, unrecorded, one that is a personal story (mine, in this case)…
Do you really need slides?

And the weight of some snowstorm snow coming up is the same as 109.5 golden retrievers on a tree.
Anything but the metric system, eh?
(@mclare has the pic.)

Jeff has sadly fallen prey to the flu, but that doesn't mean you have to miss the Office Hours tonight!
This is your Captain ShitPost Working Group speaking; We are currently 25 minutes away from take-off. 🚀

I wonder what shenanigans these two are up to for Rubber Ducky Day.
Are they having a friendly chit-chat, plotting world domination, or, worse, discussing our code?
-
@kojoidrissa I forgot to share this with you, but I also got a mini stroopwafel yesterday!
It sadly was a bit challenged in the “rest on top of a drinking glass” department.

New article on my (Cloudflare-less) blog:

As a ShitPost WG member, you know you’re in for a good haul when a postcard arrives from Norway.
New stickers, two of which I have just applied to my laptop.
Can you spot what makes these so special?
Thank you, @bmispelon!

Happy Stroopwafel Day to those observing!
For optimal celebration vibes, you take your stroopwafel and rest (not dunk!) it on top of a steaming cup of tea. You can also use coffee if that’s what you have.
The steam melts the syrup between the waffles, resulting in more gooey goodness.

There is a reason why I keep my drinks and food on a platter, and my tech on stands pretty much always.
Behold, me clumsily nudging over a glass of tea… again.
(ADHD folk are not known for their excellent spatial awareness. 🥲)

While I cannot make it due to tiredness and an early start tomorrow, *you* can still attend Office Hours!
In Jeff's absence due to DjangoCon US, the ShitPost Working Group will take over hosting duties this week.
Join at the usual location, or check in with Alex to learn more.

This is what those who cohabit with cats call a trap.
The fluffy belly you want to snuggle, and the murder mittens that act as a deterrent.

Python Office Hours afterparty with the ShitPost Working Group; just before we all fall asleep! 🥳
(Probably max another hour.)
If you want to join, ask @alexgmin, @bmispelon, or me.
